The Walkmen Live

Its been awhile, so I thought I'd put up new pics of The Walkmen, who are always inspiring to me. Love the colors and positioning in these.
Top photo's source lost, sorry! Second photo by Sam, Third by Billy Pavone

Hamilton, The Walkmen

I love this new-ish pic of the always inspiring Hamilton Leithauser / The Walkmen. What a great scene for envisioning new guitar straps.

Ham Again

Another one from the same performance as below. LOVE.
The contrast is the best part: calm, classic clothing + vein popping rock-n-roll screaming.
(I don't know the source on this pic, found it in the forum)

Hamilton's Checked Shirt

This is from The Walkmen's set at Sasquatch 2009 (which I grudgingly missed). Its the first time I've seen Hamilton without his leather jacket in awhile. I really like the shirt he is wearing- if you zoom, you can see that it's a small check, not a solid. And he doesn't have the sleeves rolled up, but the cuff isn't buttoned, and it works. Overall, love this look, as usual.
I've got a picture of him and Elvis coming up too.

The Walkmen and the atmosphere

Well, I pretty much find every pic of The Walkmen, or Hamilton Leithauser inspiring.
These are two more of my favorites, from a show they did in Paris in 2008. The first one is a great scene shot of the show. I really like Ham's leather jacket, his stance, and the feeling in the room. Their vintage/rock sound is somehow visible. And in the second one, I like his oxford shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and his watch. As usual, classic menswear- but not stiff or too formal. Fitting, and inspiring.

Hamilton 2002

This is an early picture of Hamilton Leithauser (performing with The Walkmen), taken sometime in 2002. I really like the way his outfit looks here, and they still pretty much look the same. Very traditional menswear- slim oxford button down shirt (with pushed/rolled up sleeves), corduroy pants, and leather or suede shoes.  As I design pants for a living and have therefore always got them on the brain, I've been trying to figure out what brand of corduroy 5 pockets he wears. But despite close views at many of their concerts, I can never tell. Which I guess is just that much cooler. Anyway- I really like this picture.
