More Ties

Love these ties from the groom lounge by rue magazine at Hitched. Such amazing color combos. Definitely inspiring for men's guitar straps.

Paul Smith's Rockabilly Menswear for Women

I love Paul Smith's Sp'11 runway looks for women. Pompadors & menswear-inspired pieces are two of my favorite things. And the mix of patterns going on is pretty cool too, and inspiring for some of my guitar straps!
*Also, new guitar straps (FINALLY) coming soon!

Miu Miu Stones

I love these mixed media dresses from Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2010. They're such a cool combination of retro/feminine/artsy prints, and costume-esque glamour. And the placement of the stones, sequins...etc, is beautiful! Definitely an inspiring reminder of the freshness that comes from mixing materials.

Little Joy- Fabrizio and Binki

Image from L'UOMO VOGUE, wearing Band Of Outsiders
I love Little Joy (hope they come out with something new soon?!), and I think these two definitely have enviable and inspiring retro-modern style.

Early Lennon

Images from this site
Ever since watching The U.S. vs. John Lennon, Lennon has been someone I really respect, on a much deeper level than just fashion. So the fact that I think he also had a great personal style, is just the icing on the cake. I love these pictures from his days before the Beatles. Such a cool retro/rockabilly look.
Which is why I'm really excited(!) they are making a movie about his early years, called Nowhere Boy
Above is a shot from the new movie. I think this style is really relevant for today, with a lot of the current trends going to back to a nostalgic/classic americana look. I'm sure this movie will be an inspiration for some guitar straps, and I can't wait to see it.

Rockabilly, Cry Baby

I've been in a rockabilly mood this summer, and I've watched Cry Baby several times recently. I love the absolutely intentional campy feeling, the music, and especially the 50's retro clothing/costumes. Leather jackets, jeans, polka dots, red lipstick, plaid bow-ties, prom dresses... all easily inspiring for some guitar straps.

Monroe

Just found this blog:  *#@! yeah Marilyn Monroe! which is an amazing resource for people like me who could never get tired of looking at her pictures. This photo, which I haven't seen before, where she's dressed very ladylike while looking at ties in a menswear shop, is especially fitting as inspiration for therine.
