Really love this chunky, vintage-y estate jewelry from Lulu Frost. If you're going to go for glitz, might as well go full out, right? Definitely inspiring some ideas for new glam guitar straps.
Recently seeing (and loving) Black Swan got me interested (again*) in both ballet and feathers. While I can't really imagine a successful combination of ballet and guitar straps, I can think of many ways to use feathers on guitar straps. And fortunately, I just came across this Etsy shop- KIMONOS, which is an amazing resource for them. I'll definitely be buying some of their feathers to add onto new guitar straps in 2011. I can't stop looking at their amazing photography- these pictures look like frame-able works of art.
Emily (a former co-worker!) and Yuuki of Lost + Found find a LOT of great vintage pieces, but right now I am really drawn to the small/delicate prints in their shop. These prints have a nice mix of nostalgia and femininity- and whenever I see them on their blog I'm inspired to find some to use on my guitar straps! All images from Lost + Found
I love these mixed media dresses from Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2010. They're such a cool combination of retro/feminine/artsy prints, and costume-esque glamour. And the placement of the stones, sequins...etc, is beautiful! Definitely an inspiring reminder of the freshness that comes from mixing materials.
I love these combinations of feminine fabrics and brown equestrian-looking leather belts from the Burberry Prorsum Sp10 runway. This was one of my favorite shows for Sp10, definitely inspiring a few guitar straps.
I would love to wear this Christian Lacroix (?) dress . . . mostly because of the dramatic dotted ruffles over the shoulders. I think a small version of these could be pretty cool on a very girly guitar strap. Maybe even topped off with a little black bow, like on her shoes.

As a gemini, I can never decide on just one style. So therine encompasses my love for antique/vintage and graphic/rock, for both men and women. Hope you like the mix as much as I do.
